An award-winning top 50 PR agency is looking for an ambitious and passionate Account Manager to join its growing team.

This company is recognised as one of London’s most well-known and respected PR agencies (part of a global agency group), regularly ranking amongst the top 20 consumer PR agencies and top 50 agencies in the UK. They work with some of the worlds most beloved brands across FMCG, Food, drink and retail sectors, delivering bold PR campaigns that drive interest & influence. Currently they are a team of almost 70, based between London and NYC, and they have ambitious growth plans for months and years ahead. As a wholly integrated agency, this Account Manager will also work collaboratively with teams across strategy, creative, digital and broadcast teams.

About the Account Manager role

The core function of this Account Manager role is to play a key role in delivering day-to-day client work, ensuring quality, timeliness and that KPIs are met. You’ll need to be result oriented and highly organised, capable of handling day-to-day client requests about ongoing campaigns. This role will be heavily focused on writing and media relations, as you will spend a large part of time drafting up relevant press materials as well as reaching out to and maintaining relationships with media. You’ll be working across FMCG, food, drink and retail sectors so an understanding of successful brands in this area will be advantageous.

The ideal Account Manager

  • Working at Senior Account Executive level ready for a step up OR at Account Manager level looking to explore a new role
  • Generalist consumer PR experience across a range of sectors would be ideal
  • Must come from an agency background comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
  • Experience working on integrated consumer campaigns would be an advantage, particularly across FMCG, food, drink and retail  
  • Exceptional media relations experience, bringing with you a solid understanding of national, online and broadcast media
  • Detail oriented writer, with an understand of what makes compelling copy; whether it is a thought leadership piece, newsjacking commentary, press releases or invitations to events
  • Has an interest in contributing to new business
